FoodSafe training focuses on teaching students about safe food handling and sanitation. The difference between the two levels is simple – the first is basic and the second is advanced. First level training is a basic program that introduces different food safety concepts to students. Second level training is an advanced program that focuses on management – perfect for supervisory staff tasked with management of the food establishment.

Saskatoon First Aid is not strict about student requirements, meaning if you are interested in training in food safety, you can simply apply to the program you want – you don’t need to be working in food service or own a food facility. However, to sign up for advanced FoodSafe 2 training, you first need to complete and pass FoodSafe 1.
